Prozac
Prozac - Regardless of whatever the drugs involved with the welfare of your health issue it is important that you never misuse any drugs you are taking. Drug overdoses are quite common although unintentionally meant in many cases where death has occurred.
Prozac is an antidepressant in a group of drugs called selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs). Prozac affects chemicals in the brain that may become unbalanced and cause depression, panic anxiety or obsessive-compulsive symptoms. OCD is a condition that is said to affect over 2% of the population. People with OCD will experience symptoms of a different nature due to their compulsions and severity of the disease.
Prozac is used to treat major depressive disorders, bulimia nervosa (an eating disorder) obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic disorder, and premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD). Doctors who prescribe Prozac to patients may have done so for other purposes other to those listed above.
Never mix medications or that of taking another persons prescription as this can cause serious health problems to rise or more scary fatal. Do not take Prozac together with pimozide (Orap), thioridazine (Mellaril), or a monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) such as isocarboxazid (Marplan), phenelzine (Nardil), rasagiline (Azilect), selegiline (Eldepryl, Emsam), or tranylcypromine (Parnate).
Although tablets pills creams lotions etc are there for you to heal and cure a condition they can also cause serious side affects. It’s funny how you orally take a drug in belief it can help only to find out that taking antidepressants can induce thoughts of suicide at some time.(Not in all cases of consumption).
Prozac is the only antidepressant that is FDA-approved for use in children suffering with depression, yes that’s right children to can suffer from depression. If your child shows signs of this disorder have them seen right to away before the depression has time to develop into a more serious stage.
Prozac is a regular drug used to help with discomforting symptoms, but should symptoms like mood or behavior changes, anxiety, panic attacks, trouble sleeping, or if you feel impulsive, irritable, agitated, hostile, aggressive, restless, hyperactive (mentally or physically), more depressed, or have thoughts about suicide or harming yourself or that of others then you have to consult your doctor right away.
SSRI antidepressants may cause serious or life-threatening lung problems in newborn babies whose mothers take Prozac during pregnancy. Sudden total restriction on the intake of the drug can throw you into a relapse of depression. If you are unsure about anything causing you reason for concern then talk to your doctor If you become pregnant while taking Prozac, do not stop taking the medication without first consulting your nurse or GP first. |
